The main committee is absolutely delighted to announce that after our successful Sports Capital Grants application, the redevelopment of all six courts is planned to start on Monday the 8th September. The work will take approximately three weeks (dependant on weather) and all six courts will be out of use for that period. We will endeavour to speak to our neighbouring clubs about getting some court use for the members but we hope that everyone will just bear with us for the couple of weeks while the works are in progress.  This is a very exciting development for the club.

The works will include brand new fencing around the entire club. The floodlighting will be upgraded from 400watts to 1000watts per bulb. The new surface, Tiger Turf Advantage Pro, is the current market leader in Ireland and the UK.   It is currently used in Fitzwilliam, Castleknock, Glenalbyn, Glenageary and Blackrock amongst many others and is widely regarded as the best synthetic court surface currently on the market.

Once again we would like to thank all those involved in the work to secure the grant and the overseeing of the tendering process.

If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

The Main Committee
