Ashbrook Milonga is back!! 

Shay Maguire is organising a 4.5-hour long milonga at Ashbrook Lawn Tennis Club in Rathgar, on

Saturday 5th Nov 2022 from 8:30pm to 1am Sunday 6th Nov.  

Ashbrook Milonga was previously run with great success back in Feb. 2020 just before the pandemic. Maybe, it was the “Last Tango” in Dublin before everything closed? Those who attended have fond memories of that great night. 

Ashbrook is celebrating its centenary!! 

The Milonga on the 5th of Nov comes in the year when Ashbrook is celebrating its Centenary, having been founded in 1922. The Ashbrook Centenary makes this Ashbrook Tango night even more special. In fact, Ashbrook has had a long tradition of dance down the years, so rekindling dance at Ashbrook in this year is very fitting.  

Come join us for an amazing night of Argentine Tango dancing.

What you can expect: 

• Beginners Class: 7pm – 8:30pm:  

  • Special Guest teachers from Waterford Tango, Hernan Catvin and Tara Whelan 

• Milonga: 8:30pm – 1am; DJ: Hernan Catvin 

• Floor: wooden dance floor 

• Extra seating: carpeted room with tables & chairs beside the dance floor with open access

• Full bar facilities: the bar will be open for service with draught beers, Guinness, and other beverages. 

• Atmosphere: come and savour the renowned warm Ashbrook welcome and cosy atmosphere 

Prices:  

• Milonga only: €15 

• Class + Milonga: €20 

 

 

Of course, any Ashbrook member who wishes to come down for a look and a drink is most welcome and there is no charge. Charge is only if actually taking part in lesson and/or dancing from 8:30.
